[VIRTUAL] NKDO Community Circles- Donors Whose Recipients Have Had Complications or Passed

Virtual, via Zoom-

NKDO is launching a new series of free support groups called NKDO Community Circles. The series is designed to bring together members of the living donor and kidney transplant community for connection, encouragement, and shared learning. These virtual groups will offer a welcoming space for living donors, prospective donors, transplant recipients, caregivers, and individuals who were unable to donate to discuss experiences and challenges across the donation and transplant journey.

NKDO Community Circles has a twofold goal: to better support the living donation community while also helping reduce the support burden on transplant professionals, freeing their time and capacity to more efficiently respond to and manage individualsinterested in pursuing living donation.

This Community Circle is focused on those who have donated their kidney to a recipient who later had complications, or who later passed away. There are others who have navigated this challenging situation, and who may wish to connect with members of the living donor community who have had similar experiences. This will be an open, unstructured forum for discussion and connection.

Meets virtually via zoom on the fourth Tuesday of the month at 2:00 PM EST
